Philou: the man, the dealer...

Philou is equally interested in antique motorcycles.

Born in Cannes on September 27, 1960, Philippe EVARD, better known by the nickname  Philou, inherited the passion for motorcycles from his father, who at 70 years old, continues to ride motorcycles.

After having made his mark in antique British motorcycles, Philou acquired his first Harley in 1977.  This was a Sportster 1000 XLH, which was followed by a Wide Glide with a Shovelhead motor in 1980, one of the first custom models made in Milwaukee. This bike still has a place in the collection that he has amassed over many years.

After working for the "Aerospatiale", Philou decided in 1987 to spread his wings and dedicate his life entirely to Harley-Davidson by opeing his own store in Fréjus, on the French Riviera. At this time, he didn't have the right to use the famous  "Bar & Shield".  But the quality of his work was soon noticed by the District Manager of the region who proposed in 1990 that he become an officially-recognized garage for  Harley-Davidson. This short period ended in 1991 when he obtained the status of an official Harley-Davidson dealer.

Henceforth, Philou has only one objective:  promote the interests of the trademark.

In December 1998, Philou opened a new dealership in Nice.
